Let’s make those eyes stand out! Unfortunately, not all of us have big eyes but we can always create the illusion by using clever make-up techniques.
Brows make all the difference to the face so it is important to keep your brows well-groomed and shaped. They will make you look rested, they are an inexpensive way to look great without having to do much and when your brows are shaped properly you can get away with little-to-no no makeup.
Make sure you take care of your eyes by pampering them! Reducing puffiness is the number 1 factor as this can make them look really small. To do that make sure you get enough sleep, wash your face with cold water and most importantly exercise often. Regular exercise helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital since it increases blood flow.
“Blood carries oxygen and nutrients to working cells throughout the body, including the skin”
Cover any dark circles by using a concealer or even better use an illuminating concealer to enhance and lift your look.
Contour your eyes as this helps them stand out by creating the illusion of deeper set eyes. Simply blend a natural warm or cool matte brown eyeshadow into the crease of your eye socket with wiper motions using a fluffy blending brush. Then tap a shimmery neutral shadow at the centre of the eyelid to bring them forward.
Use a black liner to tightline the upper water line. This gives the appearance of fuller lashes and helps to open up the eyes.
Apply a nude eyeliner on your lower lash line. This instantly helps open up the eyes and make them look more refreshed.
Use an eyelash curler to lengthen the eyelashes so they are ready for THE MASCARA. Mascara is my favourite product as it makes your eyes look bigger in no time. Try applying three/four coats on the outer corners of the eye to create cat shaped eyes. You can always choose to apply false lashes.
Finally, use a highlighter or a shimmery light eye shadow in the inner corner. This definitely adds a little extra to your total makeup look, and also helps you look ‘awake’. ‘
Till next week…
