Personally, I only wear colour lipsticks when I go out at night. Don’t get me wrong, I do love them but when it comes to wearing colour on a regular basis and it’s not so convenient. For starters, the moment I apply it on my lips I start licking them. So, when I bought my first Lip glow lippy by Dior years ago I knew it was going to be my new best friend! It was and still is my go to lipstick for every day. What I love about it is the fact that it’s a great fusion between a lipstick and a lip balm. Not at all sticky but has natural tones of colour and a natural shine to it.
Recently Dior has upgraded the Lip Glow range adding another 6 shades to its initial launch including an iridescent and a matte finish one. Lip Glow is the first colour reviver balm by Dior combining the comfort of a balm with a natural flush of bespoke colour.
Original Glow, The iconic finish:
Born backstage and loved by Dior make-up artists for its custom rosy tint effect and subtle shine.
New. Matte Glow:
A tinted balm with a velvety, matte finish for a soft blurring effect that enhances lips. Hydrating and nourishing, it has the same Colour Reviver technology to flush the lips a soft pink. Works perfectly as a base with a matte lipstick.
New. Holographic Glow:
The same comfort and Colour Reviver technology in an iridescent “Holographic” glow finish to enhance the lips.
Adding to this range of lippies is the Afterglow Lip Balm by Nars which comes in 8 shades. Just like Lip Glow by Dior, these lipsticks are a total temptation. They are a blend of monoi oil and antioxidant ingredients which help protect, hydrate, and soften your lips upon contact. That, and the wonderful shimmery goodness they have. The balm is sheer, glowy, and dewy, with just the right amount of colour. They plump and hydrate lips, making them the focal point of your face. There’s hardly any smudges and definitely no drying!
Subtle Hint of Colour
Delivers a sheer wash of colour with a shine finish.
Features Monoi Hydrating Complex for smooth, supple comfort.
Infused with a blend of antioxidant ingredients to help protect lips.
Of course I’ll never give up my reds (Ruby Woo and Pirate) and my shimmery glosses but for now, these two lippies have ‘stolen my heart’.
Till next week…
