Scented candles are known for their soothing, healing properties which create peaceful ambiance in a room. The sheer act of lighting a candle, its lovely flicker, the gentle glow it has and its scent helps ease and soothe the mind. I’m a big fan!
Personally I prefer to burn natural candles over conventional ones, just because I favor the idea of inhaling natural ingredients such as soy wax, beeswax and essential oils, rather than paraffin (petroleum waste) and synthetic fragrances. Lighting a paraffin candle occasionally won’t kill you of course but if you have issues with asthma, migraines or general allergies then being regularly in rooms that are full of conventional candles might trigger some irritations. Generally, I like to go natural wherever I can, especially when there are so many amazing green options out on n the market.
