Fruity, sweet and crunchy would be the best way to describe Nicole’s deliciously, tasty summery desert. Try serving it with mastic ice cream to make it even better.

Serves 8-10 people


  • 1 packet of kataifi pastry
  • 3 tsp. melted pastry butter
  • 1 large jar of cherry compote
  • 1 packet of grounded pistachio nuts


Pre heat the oven to 180˚. Spread out the Kataifi into a Pyrex dish and pour the melted butter evenly over it. Bake the pastry until it becomes golden in colour and let it cool. Pour the cherry compote over the kataifi then sprinkle the pistachios on top. Best served with mastic ice cream.
